Daily Update (6/16/25) - Daily Wrapup Panel and UI Tweaks
Daily Update - June 16th 2025
Hi all! Today I wrapped up the Daily Wrapup panel that will now appear at the end of a Market Day. This panel will show you a fun summary of how you did during the Market Day, with a profit breakdown.
As part of this, a bunch of internals around how the day is actually progressed got refactored, so there are a couple minor gameplay flow changes that I think will make the game a bit more intuitive. You'll no longer have to do some shopping after the last market day, or if you know you're already doomed to fail to make rent. Also, customer satisfaction bonuses are paid out sooner, so there should be less confusion about how it interacts with rent payments. This build also includes a number of little bugfixes here and there, and some nice UI tweaks. Here's the changelog:

- Gameplay/Flow: Rent and Customer Satisfaction bonuses are now deducted/rewards prior to shopping for items. If you fail to make rent, you now hit the Game Over screen before the final shopping scene.
- Gameplay: Event days can no long take place on the final day of the week
- UI: Added a daily wrapup panel that appears after the last customer leaves your shop during a Market Day, so you can review your progress
- UI: Added a little popup over newly crafted cards to indicate that they've been crafted
- UI: Added a quick screen fade transition when transitioning to the Supplies Shoppe
- UI: Updated art for Compendium options and added borders to the art there.
- UI: Added some indicators to the Character Select screen to show you which character/difficulty is selected at a glance
- UI: Updated the customer pool icon in the pool viewer
- UI: Increased the font size and improved the positioning of money gain and loss popup texts
- Text: Minor clarification on the Turtle customer's text.
- Bugfix: Fixed rare cases where event days would not be added to the calendar for some weeks
- Bugfix: Fixed saving on the game over screen allowing you to restart the previous day when continuing the run. Now, you are returned to the game over screen
- Bugfix: Fixed the permit for more max line size appearing if you've hit the max line size on the rewards screen
- Bugfix: Fixed missing tooltip for Speedy on the Speedy Shelving tactic
- Bugfix: Fixed a few missing Convince tooltips on a few Customers
- Bugfix: Fixed type satisfaction icons jiggling out of place when applying a liked glow to the item type on customer cards
- Bugfix: Fixed some customer action text not resetting its position between actions
- Bugfix: Eliminated some softlocks related to having no money when encountering certain events
- Bugfix: Fixed brief period of time between the supply shoppe and the calendar where the day hadn't actually progressed to the next day
