Daily Update (7/14/25) - Shop Rerolls!
Daily Update - July 14th 2025
Hi all! Today I worked on some more playtesting feedback centred around how the early game feels pretty sensitive to getting a bad shop. To help alleviate this, I've added the ability to reroll your customers, your packs, and your tactics that are offered to you in the supply shoppe!
Unlike other similar games, if you buy something before rerolling, that "slot" will not be replenished, so pick and choose your options wisely! (I'm not super married to this being the case though, this was just the simplest thing to implement quickly, haha) Also, rerolling costs a bit of Word of Mouth, increasing by 1 per time you reroll at each shoppe, so don't go too crazy.
As part of these changes, I noticed that alongside the ability to downsize your inventory, and upgrade cards, you've got quite a lot more opportunities to spend Word of Mouth, so I've doubled the Influence values of Customers across the board, since I feel like there are about twice as many places to spend your Word of Mouth as when I first added it as a resource. This'll be subject to tweaking and playtesting in case this is a bit too much (or maybe even not enough?).
Hopefully, as a result of these changes, the early game should have some more interesting choices, and have a bit more player agency, so I'm pretty happy with that for now. Here's today's changelog:

- Gameplay: Customers, Packs, and Tactics may now all be rerolled in the supply shoppe for a scaling amount of Word of Mouth.
- Gameplay: Customers are now twice as influential across the board, so you can actually reroll stuff sometimes. (And upgrade/downsize, etc.)
- Gameplay: Customers that set their influence based on other customers in your customer base now set their total influence to 3x the total # of relevant customers. (Was 2x)
- Art: Added art for the Double Up and Rearrange Shelves tactics
- Performance: Improved performance of the calculation used to display the value addition that the Sales Catalog decoration grants, which was slowing down things significantly.
- Options: Added a Profile tab to options for resetting your profile's stats and viewing your savegame folder.
- Bugfix: Fixed hitting a game-over screen if saving/quitting in the Supply Shop after completing the 2nd to last day of the week, and then continuing the run later.
