Daily Update (5/29/25) - Customer text standardization and more!


Daily Update - May 29th 2025

Hi all! Today reworked the text on Customers to be a bit more standard. They'll more closely match the formatting I've been using for other cards, so that's cool. Also, today's build has some more great Customer art from Jenbarb_! Woo! Additionally, I cleaned up a number of annoying UI elements that were a bit dusty, and some silly bugs that snuck in (or re-appeared). Pretty productive day I'd say! Here's the changelog:

  • Gameplay: Buffed the Price Hike tactic (Reduced Patience cost from 3 to 1)
  • Art: Added art for the Bard customer
  • Art: Added art for the Local Villager customer
  • UI: Improved art rendering on achievements in the achievements scene
  • UI: Updated the Next In Line Label Background to the Scroll art
  • UI: Refactored the Decoration Inventory a little, and tweaked how the Inactive Decorations buttons are displayed.
  • UI: Replaced some placeholder Arrow buttons in the Decoration Inventory and Character Select scenes with slightly less placeholder arrow buttons (still open to revision, but less made in ms paint)
  • UI: Updated card selection borders to use a more pleasing gold non-pixelated border
  • UI: Replaced the placeholder Hover Border on that appears when focusing or hovering over the current day on the calendar with a less pixel-y icon border
  • SFX: Customer cards in the rewards scene make a few more noises when hovered and clicked
  • Text: Standardized Customer ability text. Now usually fits the form of "Reacts - Condition: Effect" and utilizes BBCode for Icons and colors.
  • Text: Improved text rendering in the profile stats, main menu, day planner, options, and credits scenes
  • Bugfix: Fixed Sticker Shock Achievement not unlocking itself properly
  • Bugfix: Added a few more fallback recipes for some item combinations
  • Bugfix: Re-applied bugfix for item type glow effects not appearing for aspects added to items by other card effects that somehow went missing from the previous version's commit(?)
  • Bugfix: Fixed Customer Intent UI switching to the Leave Shop intent before finishing their turn, causing the intent to appear a bit confusing in some cases
  • Bugfix: Fixed Decoration Inventory remaining open if you Abandon a run with it open
  • Bugfix: Fixed placeholder decoration textures looking blurry in the character select scene
  • Bugfix: Fixed images in tooltips from bbcode being too tiny, relative to the font size of tooltips
  • Bugfix: Fixed incorrect item type icons in the Baker's Rack description (showed Armor icons instead of Food)
