Daily Update (4/24/25) - Tutorial Rework!


Daily Update - April 24th, 2025

Hi all! After having my game demoed a bit last night, I realized that the Tutorial is a bit of a "Wall o' text", so I took some steps today to make it a bit more engaging and faster to get to the gameplay. The tutorial now jumps right into the Market Day scene and doesn't go out of it's way to explain every single UI element before letting you do anything. I think it'll flow a lot smoother now! Also, I simplified the Rewards scene tutorials along the same lines. I'll likely make some further similar adjustments, but it's a lot quicker to run the tutorial, so I think that's a big improvement. Here's the changelog for the day:

  • Tutorial: Reworked the tutorial to be less of a series of walls of text, allowing the player to get to the gameplay faster.
  • Tutorial: Simplified the Sales Day Rewards tutorial scenes significantly
  • Gameplay: Local Villager no longer always sells Trash. Now chooses a random single-typed Item to sell when they enter the shop (Can include Trash).
  • UI: Added a $ sign to item values on cards.
  • Bugfix: Fixed some tactics missing from the list of all tactics in the Compendium (and elsewhere)
  • Bugfix: Added missing Items to the list of all Items in the Compendium
