Daily Update (3/06/25) - Engine upgrade and fixes
Daily Update - March 6th, 2025
Hey all, bit of a smaller update today. Today, since I was done with the rework on customers, I took some personal playtesting time with the game, and I like how it's improved the game feel I think. Noticed a few little bugs along the way, so I cleaned those up as I ran into them. Also, Godot dropped their 4.4 update to the engine, so I migrated the game to the new version. It might make it mildly more performant, so that's kinda neato. Pretty painless version upgrade, but if stuff randomly starts breaking in ugly ways, let me know so I can take a look to see if its related to the engine upgrade, haha. Also also, I added the customers to the Compendium, since they're a more important part of the game now, so it makes sense that you might want to study them there. Anyway, here's today's changelog!

- Engine: Upgraded game engine from Godot 4.3 -> Godot 4.4
- Gameplay: Updated Alchemist item for sale (Super Potion -> Potion)
- Gameplay: Reduced Alchemist Word of Mouth Cost (5 -> 3)
- Compendium: Added customers to the Compendium, so you can view them at your leisure
- UI: Updated the card popup viewer to be able to show customer cards, and added that ability to the compendium and customer pool viewer when you click customer cards in there
- UI: Added some missing text outlines
- QoL: Added a couple fallback recipes for the adventuring kit and cuppa joe
- Bugfix: Fixed Red Carpet decoration not actually adding a customer to your lineup at the start of a sales day, like it claimed to
- Bugfix: Fixed Martial Exhibition tactic granting too much additional value
- Bugfix: Fixed Line Size Upgrade button in rewards scene disabling itself even if you had enough money for the upgrade when first entering the reward scene
- Bugfix: Fixed issue where selling an item while a customer was leaving would cause the next customer to leave the shop immediately, and potentially end the day early
