Daily Update - Feb 24th, 2025
Back at it! Today, I filled out the common slot for workbench decorations, which was pretty fun. I also took a little time to update the UI of decoration cards in the reward scene, since they were a bit out of date with how cards are displayed elsewhere in the game. I also took a bit of time to start thinking of how I want to re-work how customers are chosen each day, and I'm starting to slightly crystallize a few ideas in my mind, so look forward to an update on that maybe in a couple weeks (or sooner). For now, I'm still focused on filling out the remaining workbench decorations, and then finally just the sales desk decorations before I feel like we can do some solid playtesting as a relatively complete system. - New Content: Added a common workbench decoration: Unstable Workbench (Add a random item type to combined items, if possible)
- New Content: Added a cycle of common workbench decorations that reward you for combining two items with the same item type (Soldier's Workbench/Rough Sandpaper/Distiller's Still/Vented Cooktop)
- New Content: Added a new common workbench decoration: Gilded Hammer (combined items add 25% of their value to the output item)
- New Content: Added a new common workbench decoration: Self-Powered Furnace (Gain a free combine every 3 combinations) - New Content: Added a new common workbench decoration: Blacksmith's Hammer (Increase the value of combination output items if they're armor or weapons)
- New Content: Added a new common workbench decoration: Special Spices (Increase the value of combination output items if they're food or potions)
- New Content: Finished up a cycle of common workbench decorations that reward you for creating items of certain types(Baker's Oven/Armorer's Forge/Weaponcrafter's Forge)
- Gameplay: Reworked Alchemist Bench workshop decoration. Instead of a 50% to override your combo output with a super potion, now has a 25% to add an additional 2 Potions to Hand on combination if you create a potion
- UI: Refreshed the UI of Decoration Cards in the Rewards Screen. They should now match the general look/feel of other cards more closely, and now come in a fun green background.
- Bugfix: Fixed incorrect starter decoration for the Shopkeeper (whoopsie!)
- Bugfix: Fixed Weaponsmith's Exhibit decoration not existing in the pool of available decorations
- Bugfix: Fixed a potential text overrun for the Potionmaster's Orb decoration in the decoration picker scene
