Daily Update - Feb 18th, 2025
Hey friends, hope you had a good long weekend, and enjoyed probably being super snowed in! Today I wrapped up the uncommon and rare Lighting decorations, which made me feel pretty productive. Also, got a few little bugfixes in there too. I think I'll move on to the shelving decorations next, but I might add a couple little QoL updates in before I do that, maybe. That said, I'm anxious to finish adding all my targeted decorations, since then I'll feel like I'll have enough content to start opening this thing up to a public alpha (with people I probably don't know IRL)! Anyway, here's the changelog!
Changelog (v0.7.9)
-----
- New Content: Added a new cycle of rare lighting decorations that increase your customer's item preferece by 1 level for every 3 of a type of item drawn + an additional bonus depending on the item type (Bulwark's Flame/Foodie's Fireplace/Highwayman's Flare/Potionmaster's Orb)
- New Content: Added a new uncommon lighting decoration: All Seeing Eye (Your inventory deck is now displayed in-order, instead of randomly)
- New Content: Added a new uncommon lighting decoration: Tacky Lamp (discarding trash adds 2 Trash to hand)
- New Content: Added a new uncommon lighting decoration: Storeroom Lantern (Draw 2 copies of the last card in your deck when you draw the last card in your deck)
- New Content: Added a new uncommon lighting decoration: Impure Candle (Draw 2 whenever you draw Trash or a Complication)
- New Content: Added a new cycle of uncommon lighting decorations that provide some reward when you draw your opening hand, but have no items of a specific type as a sort of backup for those kind of builds (Chef's Candelabra/Concoctor's Beacon/Spiky Candelabra/Secure Sconce)
- New Content: Added a new common lighting decoration: Paper Lantern (Grants 1 temporary Markup for every 6 Tactics/Mottos drawn)
- Gameplay: Updated temporary Markup to deplete on sale instead of on patience loss (minor to medium buff)
- Gameplay: Renamed Quartz Lamp decoration to Technical Manual, and moved it to the Sales Counter slot, since the effect makes more sense there
- Gameplay: Standardized some lighting decoration sell and buy costs in the uncommon tier (Now sell for $35, can buy for $60)
- Gameplay: Buffed Disco Ball decoration sell price ($40 -> $50)
- Bugfix: Fixed incorrect Technical Manual rarity (common -> uncommon
- Bugfix: Fixed decorations that trigger on initial hand drawn triggering slightly too early, should now trigger only after the final card of the initial hand is drawn
- Bugfix: Fixed Watchman's Lantern decoration drawing cards if you had over 1 tactic in hand instead of 0 tactics in hand
- Bugfix: Fixed decorations that trigger on the initial hand being drawn triggering every time cards are drawn
- Bugfix: Fixed various instances of adding basic starter items to the players hand with the restockable item status incorrectly applied (this never had any in-game effect, but could be confusing)
