Daily Update (2/4/25) - now with stats and high scores!
Daily Update - Feb 3rd, 2025
Hey hey folks! Had a pretty productive day today, despite a bit of a later start. Got a lot of solid UI work done today, with a lot of little tweaks to various menus that haven't had some love in a while. Also, I implemented a big new feature! Stats!
Now, when you end a run, you'll see some stats about how well you did (win or lose), and those stats will now be saved to your personal profile! Accordingly, since those are saved now, there's a brand new menu available from the Main Menu: Stats!
This'll give you something to shoot for, in terms of going for a high score. (How that high score is calculated will probably change in the future, but for now it's just whenever you win, the score is the leftover money after the last rent payment). More stats are planned than what I was able to wire up just today, so look forward to more granular and maybe interesting stuff to track! I may soon also take a bit of time soon to beef up the total number of decorations a bit, since those are a bit same-y I feel. I'm also considering adding some Consumables in the form of Vouchers, that could provide some one-time bonuses during a sales day, that you could get from a sales day reward. (Woo scope creep!)
Anyway, there are a bunch of little UI tweaks today, so read on in the changelog for more info on what's new in this new minor version. Here's v0.7.0!
