Daily Update (7/18/25) - Meta-Progression QoL Updates


Daily Update - July 18th 2025

Hi all! Today I'm taking the afternoon off, so a bit of a shorter devlog to round out the week. I mostly worked on some adjustments to the Unlocks system a bit. I noticed that you could get locked cards from effects that make random cards for you, so I've put an end to that to avoid some confusion later on. Also, I added a sorting option in the Compendium to sort by Unlock status, so you can more easily go hunting for stuff to unlock. There's a few more minor changes in there too, so here's the changelog:

  • Gameplay: Effects that generate random decorations or tactics/mottos no longer generate options that haven't been unlocked by the player yet
  • Achievements: Added the Rock Bottom Prices Achievement (Sell an item for $0)
  • Unlocks: The Anticipate Argument tactic is now locked behind the Rock Bottom Prices Achievement
  • Art: Added art for the Cooking Exhibition and Free Sample Tactics
  • UI: Added a sort option to the Items and Decorations compendiums to sort by unlock status
  • UI: Added some confirmation text in the Options menu when your unlock everything or reset your profile.
  • Text: Added some color to money values in Achievement texts.
  • Text: Renamed Achievements to Quests
  • Text: Updated the Stats button on the Main Menu to say Stats & Quests
  • Text: Various unlock-related text adjustments
  • Bugfix: Fixed the Rubedo achievement not actually being hooked up to the game properly and not existing in the list of Achievements
